The streets of Warsaw, by night

Yesterday, I took my camera into work in the hope of taking a few of those artsy night-time shots the professionals do so well.  But, like the ham-fisted amateur I am, I forgot that shooting from a glass building at night is going to be problematic because the glass will reflect all the light that you don’t want it to reflect, and when you’re a few hundred metres up in the air, one decent gust of wind outside is going to cause the building you’re in to move a few centimetres and screw up your two-point-five second exposure.  Anyhow, I managed to get a few passable shots, so this is how downtown Warsaw looks of an evening.  All images were taken from the Rondo ONZ 1 office building.

Hmm…and yours is one of the blogs WordPress didn’t notify me about. So very annoying.

p.s. Did you take these shots very late at night? Or is Warsaw always this quiet? And the shots look fine to me. 🙂
